Eric is a leading educator in video game music, having trained composers worldwide — with students working as indie composers and full-time studio composers on projects including Genshin Impact. He has taught at institutions such as San Francisco State University and Long Beach State, and has presented his unique video game music system at Berklee College of Music, GameSoundCon, and MAGWest.
His background spans classical composition, film music, jazz, musical theatre, and pop, both as a composer and multi-instrumentalist performer. In his college courses, he covered over 150 works from the VGM canon in a single semester. That breadth is what gives him a distinct approach: he hears deeply and broadly, and trains you to think the same way.
The bootcamp grew out of that system — structured for composers at every level, refined over half a decade, and taught to students across the US and around the world.
